Identities: First-Generation, Low-Income, Immigration-Background

DRAFT: I am a first-generation, low-income student attending Stanford University as the Class of 2024. Raised and inspired by immigrant parents, I found a passion for social impact entrepreneurship, finance, and engineering- all an opportunity to express my individual ideas and projects into the real world. I began my entrepreneurial journey in the Economic Awareness Council for On the Money Magazine, where I managed interns to publish magazines educating youth about financial literacy and teen entrepreneurial experiences across Chicago Public Schools. I also

published my first book at age 18 discussing the college application process from the perspective of unconventional backgrounds including FGLI, POC, and immigrant upbringings. The book was launched on Kickstarter and Amazon and is funded by Chicago Scholars and the Gray Matter Experience. I hope to use my unique experiences living culturally isolated, medically uninsured, and first-generation low-income to voice the needs found in the communities I was raised in.
