LINKS: Learning, Inclusion, and Knowledge for Students
LINKS is a series of workshops facilitated by The Office for Inclusion, Belonging, and Intergroup Communication. These sessions utilize experiential activities, educational frameworks, and intergroup dialogue to facilitate learning opportunities for students who are interested in engaging in conversations around identity, diversity, equity, and justice. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome.

Students of Color Convening --Toward Affinity & Solidarity
SOC Convening is a safe, collective space for self-identified BIPOC students to gather, connect, learn about each other’s cultures, and build community.

Reducing Bias and Stereotyping
Examine how stereotypes and implicit biases can affect our perceptions & decisions and then explore a framework and suggestions for reducing the impact of stereotypes and bias.

Allyship and Anti-Racism
What does allyship really look like? Who gets to call themselves an ally? This experiential workshop will dive into the WHAT and HOW of real allyship.

Responding to Microaggressions
Many, if not all, of us have encountered microaggressions in some form or another. How can people respond to them? This interactive workshop provides language, tools, and opportunity for participants to practice navigating situations in which they are the target of or witness to a microaggression.

Gender(ed) Power and Privilege: Questioning the Gender Hierarchy
This interactive workshop helps students explore the complex relationships between gender, power and privilege. How do hetero- and cisnormativity intersect with other oppressive social and political structures around race, socioeconomic status, etc. to create systems of inequity that privilege some gender identities and expressions while taking power away from others? And what can you do about it?
