Apply to the Peer Facilitation Program
The program includes two quarters of learning and development – Winter and Spring 2024. The program will launch with a retreat during the first week of winter quarter. For the remainder of winter quarter, IBIC professional and student staff will lead weekly, two-hour sessions on equity-based facilitation basics. We will gather each week to grow our skills and to build community.
During spring quarter, Peer-Facilitators-in-Training will co-facilitate supervised workshops related to diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity (DIBE) among the PFP community. The program ends with an annual showcase where Peer-Facilitators-in-Training will have the opportunity to facilitate a large session for invited guests and campus partners.
During the program (winter and spring 2024), Peer-Facilitators-in-Training will receive a stipend of ~$400 each quarter. Trainees who advance to become Peer Facilitators will become IBIC staff and earn an hourly wage.
The application to join the Peer Facilitation Program is now open and closes November 26th. We will notify applicants regarding decisions by the end of Week 10. The program will start meeting weekly at the start of Winter Quarter. Meeting times for Winter have been tentatively scheduled for Tuesdays from 2:30-4:30 PM.
