Gerald Richarson III

Class of 2023 | Major: Sociology, Psychology, and Public Policy

Gerald Richardson III is studying Sociology, Psychology, and Public Policy with his research focusing on law and punishment at the intersection of race and class. On campus Gerald serves as the ASSU Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Social Justice. Working towards DEI and Social Justice are his purpose and passions in life. Gerald is an adamant believer in compassion and cultural humility and that is why working in the IBIC office is so important to his journey. From Los Angeles, California, Gerald is a huge foodie! Passionate about public service and social impact, Gerald plans to pursue law school and earn a joint Juris Doctor and PhD. Gerald loves learning new skills and taking on new challenges. Most recently, he has taught himself software engineering. Gerald is the founder of an organization and founder of a forthcoming start-up for social good!
